2024 looks like a pretty promising year when it comes to new movies released this year. There are movies like Madame Web and Dune 2 that have already been released this year and we have mixed views about all of them.
While Dune 2 was a pretty good movie, Madame Web didn’t exactly live up to our expectations. However, there are still movies that are just around the corner and we have a lot of expectations from them.

Today we will be talking about a few of the movies that all of us are looking forward to and can’t conceal our anticipation. You should definitely consider watching these movies too. 1. Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire
The next installment of everyone’s favorite movie, Ghostbusters, is dropping on the 22nd of March and we can’t wait for it! The movie is the sequel to the 2021 reboot titled Ghostbusters: Afterlife and it was a pretty good movie, which is why we have our hopes up high with this one as well.
In this movie, there is a supernatural force that unleashes a phenomenon called the “Death Chill” which basically just scares people to death and at the same time it also poses a threat to start a new Ice Age in New York. Whenever something like that happens, “who are you gonna call?” Ghostbusters of course!
The movie has a pretty interesting cast consisting of Paul Rudd, Finn Wolfhard, McKenna Grace, and the pioneers including Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd, Ernie Hudson, and Annie Potts. Some other actors such as Kumail Nanjiani and Patton Oswalt will make appearances too.
2. Damsel
Imagine watching a fairytale movie with a twist where the princess has to fight beasts (something other than Shrek of course). Well, you are in luck since Damsel is releasing in March this year and it stars none other than Millie Bobby Brown who has already proved her mettle through her works in shows like Stranger Things and movies like Enola Holmes.
In this movie, Millie plays the role of a princess who is sent to a Dragon to be sacrificed, however, she flips the switch and ends up fighting the fiery monster. The movie also stars Ray Winstone, Robin Wright, and Angela Bassett. The movie will release on Netflix so make sure that you don’t miss it!
3. Deadpool & Wolverine
Our favorite “Merc with the mouth” is finally returning to the big screen for a third time and this time we can’t hold in our excitement. The reason why we love Deadpool so much is because he is played by Ryan Reynolds and Ryan is just a real-life version of Wade Wilson. Not only that, but this time we will see him alongside Hugh Jackman as Wolverine and we’re just as excited about that too.
And who knows, maybe we’ll even catch a surprise cameo from another Marvel favorite, tying into the larger Avengers movies in order.
We have been watching Hugh’s version of Wolverine ever since we were kids so we can’t help but be ecstatic that Hugh Jackman is returning as Wolverine after all these years, with his last movie being Logan. The movie is set to release in late July, till then we will just have to wait in anticipation as not much has been revealed about the movie.
4. Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire
If you are into watching movies that are about Titans and the havoc that they cause, then you would already be aware of King Kong and Godzilla, as we have spent a significant fraction of our lives watching their movies. Among the latest movies, there was also one where King Kong and Godzilla fight each other, a large ape vs a large fire-breathing lizard, imagine that.
However, in this movie instead of King Kong and Godzilla going head-to-head against each other, they will join forces and fight against another threat that will destroy the Earth if not dealt with properly. Not only can we not wait for King Kong and Godzilla to join forces but we will also get to see the son of Kong too! There’s a lot in this movie that we are looking forward to.

2024 is a pretty good year in the entertainment industry. Not only are we getting good movies but we are getting great TV shows as well such as the live-action adaptation of Avatar: The Last Airbender.
